Welcome to my blog! This is all new to me, so it’s trial and error. I am a mother of 4. I have a 13 year old daughter obsessed with all things social media. She is, as they say, a hot mess.   I have 11 year old twins boys, serious gamers. They are two of the most kind hearted people…though I’m not really sure how that happened. Must be one of those inherited things that skip a generation.  I have a 6 year old, but he’ll be 7 in a couple of weeks, so perhaps I should say I have a 7 year old. He’s obsessed with whatever his old brother’s are doing.  I also have a 17 year old step-son. After knowing him since he was 3, I really think of him as mine, but he has a mother who loves him too. And of course, I have my husband, we have been married for almost 13 years. He is my best friend. I always tell people we grew up together since I was only 20 when we got married, but now we are growing old together. More on the family later, now I’ll tell you about me.

I grew up in a very rural Virginia town. I have 4 older brothers. A couple of them are pretty awesome…2 out of 4 ain’t bad. My father had back surgery my first day of Kindergarten, and he never walked without assistance again.  I’ve always been a Daddy’s girl. My mother isn’t part of my life, she moved on years ago with a new husband and I am ok with that. I’ve always worked too much and stressed too much. I am opinionated and loud about my opinions. I enjoy a good beer and bonfire on a Saturday night, though at this stage in my life, I don’t drink very often. I’m a busy girl. I love football, GO STEELERS! My yorkie is my big baby. I am sarcastic about almost everything. I have a bit of a potty mouth at times…

I work from home full time as a supervisor for a really great company. I’m not saying it’s perfect, but it’s a great company that cares about it’s employees. I’m sort of quirky, so it’s nice that they put up with me. I homeschool my children. I always second guess myself about that. Am I doing enough? Are they learning enough? What mother doesn’t ask these questions?  I struggle to find a balance between being a wife, mother, employee, and housekeeper. Me time? What is that? LOL I’m working on that, starting with a blog.

My life is busy, exhausting, chaotic…and sparktacular! I wouldn’t want it any other way 🙂
